About Us

Foundation Introduction

In 2002, he held the preparatory meeting for the "Chen Ting Shih Modern Art Foundation. " Chen appointed his friends in the art world and members of the social elite to form directors and supervisors.

In 2003, Chen Ting Shih Memorial Hall was established at the former residence of Chen Ting shih, Taiping District, Taichung City. In 2005, the "Chen Ting Shih Modern Art Foundation" was established. In the spirit of art, we hope more people can know this phenomenal artist. In addition to collating and researching Chen Ting-Shih’s related works of art, as well as cooperating with public and private organizations to hold Chen Ting- Shih's creations and modern art exhibitions at home and abroad, the Foundation has continued to promote modern art education and conduct exhibitions, lectures. The foundation also promotes educational activities and sets up scholarships to encourage students who are struggling to develop and engage in visual arts.

  • Taichung Taiping Former Residence established "Chen Tingshih Memorial Hall”.

  • The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts has compiled more than 970 pieces of Chen's works into a series of "There is no words - Chen Tingshih's legacy”.

2004

  • The CCA and Lion Art jointly published "Meditation. Otherworldliness. Biography of Chen Tingshi, written by Cheng Huimei.

2005

  • Collaborating with friends to find iron sculpture creation meterials at Kaohsiung Ship Recycling Factory.
